5 tips voor een minder stressvolle dag

Geef het toe… je dagen zijn druk bezet, volgepland en stressvol.
Hoe kan je ook maar een beetje orde brengen in deze chaos ?

Hieronder volgen een paar (hopelijk) nuttige tips.

1) Plan je dag op voorhand.
Ofwel doe je dit de dag op voorhand, ofwel gedurende het weekend. Neem een kwartiertje de tijd, maak je bureau leeg  en maak een lijstje van alle dingen die de volgende dag gedaan moeten worden. Probeer een logische volgorde in je planning te krijgen.

2) Probeer elke taak in tijd af te bakenen.
Schrijf bij elke taak op je planning een tijdsduur. Bijvoorbeeld: Vergadering voorbereiden 1 uur.
Zo houd je bij hoeveel tijd je gebruikt. Meestal maken we de fout om onze dag te vol te plannen. Op het einde van de dag gaan we dan onvoldaan naar huis.

3) Bekijk en beantwoord je mail maximal twee keer per dag.
De verleiding om je email te lezen elke keer hij binnekomt is erg groot. Iedereen kent dit wel. Zeker als je de opties hebt aangevinkt, om bij elke nieuwe email een waarschuwing te krijgen. Probeer deze gewoonte toch af te leren. Zet dat alarm af. Probeer vaste tijdsstippen in te plannen om je email te lezen. Dit kan je doen, na de eerste grote taak, rond een uur of 11. Een tweede keer kan je dit doen in de late namiddag.

4) Neem af en toe een pauze
Misschien is dit voor jou een moeilijk opdracht. Sommigen gaan zo op in hun werk dat ze vergeten om af en toe een pauze te nemen.
Toch is het erg belangrijk om af en toe een break te nemen. Ga even naar het koffie automaat en stretch je lichaam. Zeker als je de hele dag achter je computer zit, is dit noodzakelijk. Zelfs een korte pauze van 5 minuten helpt je zowel fysiek als emotioneel.
Zet desnoods een alarm op je computer. Op het internet vind je hiervoor genoeg gratis software. Klik hier voor een voorbeeld.

5) Zorg dat je iets hebt om naar uit te kijken op het einde van je werkdag.
Er zijn genoeg voorbeelden. Een avondje sporten met vrienden, een luie avond in de zetel met de krant of een tijdschrift, die lekkere maaltijd elke avond, …
Het is belangrijk dat je iets hebt dat ervoor zorgt dat je gemakkelijk van “werk-mode” naar “relax-mode kan overschakelen.
Het is erg belangrijk om jezelf te verzorgen als je druk bezette dagen hebt. Probeer aan bovenstaande zaken te denken als je aan je dag begint.
